SCL-India Chapters
SCL India has constituted regional chapters to engage with the stakeholder community more locally in all parts of India. This way SCL India achieves a broader network and outreach in India. Members of SCL India will be able to take benefit of SCL India’s Chapters and participate regionally.
Kerala Chapter
SCL Kerala Chapter was inaugurated in 2018. The Chapter is founded to promote the study, research and education of construction law and its allied fields in Kerala.

Opening a chapter
Any group of persons with an involvement and interest in construction law can establish a new SCL India Chapter by contacting the SCL India. The structure of SCL India Chapters will include: (i) Steering of Committee of not more than 20 members, and (ii) Co-Chairs of the Steering Committee. The Chapter’s main aim will be to work on regional initiatives that go along with SCL India’s goal to promote the practice, education, and research in the field of construction law and its allied fields.
Young Leaders Group
YLG is a nation-wide construction law and dispute resolution knowledge network for young law practitioners, neutrals, various professionals like inhouse Lawyers, Engineers, Quantity surveyors, Delay experts, and Project / Contract Managers), as well as students. It aims to promote the knowledge and understanding of construction law and allied fields, by introducing its members from all corners of India to best practices.
YLG functions under the auspices of the Society of Construction Law, India. Its mission is to create a group that shares a common interest in construction law and allied fields
- To discuss issues relevant to construction law and dispute resolution, international and domestic, in engaging and diverse forums and environments;
- To create a network of young colleagues with diverse personal, regional, and professional backgrounds;
- To develop its members professional aptitude in the field of construction law and dispute resolution and help provide such opportunities;
- To provide access to resources on topics of interest in the field of construction law and dispute resolution;
- To raise awareness in India about construction law and dispute resolution, and to encourage the collaboration between law, business, engineering, academia and institutions to achieve this;
- To create a community of members who unite in the mission to advance the understanding of construction law and dispute resolution in their respective regions;
- To be a forum of young construction law and dispute resolution zealots to exchange expertise, ideas, and experiences;
- To create and nurture links with other organizations around the world with similar or complementary aims and objectives.
