The Young International Council (YIC) of the Society of Construction Law, India Chapter is pleased to invite interested practitioners to a focused, interactive workshop on Indian construction delay disputes followed by a networking dinner. The workshop will be held on the sidelines of the 5th Biennial International Conference of the Society of Construction Law-India on Construction Law and Arbitration.

Format:
The workshop will be built around a realistic Employer–Contractor dispute on a construction project, involving common issues around delay, escalating costs, extension of time/prolongation claims, liquidated damages etc. Participants will receive a short brief (2–3 pages) with background and key contract extracts and will be divided into small groups.

Who should attend:
Young practitioners across law, engineering, and project delivery (advocates, expert witnesses, in-house counsel, engineers, consultants, and related stakeholders).

Attendance at the workshop is aimed at practising lawyers’ who are 2 years’ qualified and above or equivalent experience at expert consultancies or in-house counsel / engineers. If you do not meet this criteria we reserve the right to refund your registration fee and deny your entry to the event.
