After the success of its inaugural workshop in Delhi in December 2025, The Young International Council (YIC) of the Society of Construction Law, India Chapter is pleased to invite interested practitioners to another focused, interactive workshop on Indian construction delay disputes followed by a networking dinner. The workshop will be held on the sidelines of the 3rd International Conference of the Society of Construction Law-India on Construction Law and Arbitration in Mumbai.

Format:
The workshop will be built around a realistic Employer–Contractor dispute on a construction project, involving common issues around delay, escalating costs, extension of time/prolongation claims, liquidated damages etc. Participants will receive a short brief (2–3 pages) with background and key contract extracts and will be divided into small groups. The workshop will be based on a similar scenario to that used in the Delhi edition.

Who should attend:
Young practitioners across law, engineering, and project delivery (advocates, expert witnesses, in-house counsel, engineers, consultants, and related stakeholders).

Attendance at the workshop is aimed at young professionals who are involved in construction related matters in legal private practice, at expert consultancies or in-house counsel / engineers.
